蘇姍有很多朋友的婚照，她經常當伴娘，她說做過三次伴娘就不能再做，因為會嫁不出。她對香港曾經有很多想像和仰望，看著身邊很多朋友風光體面地結婚，她亦憧憬到香港就可以得到幸福。
Susan often served as a bridesmaid for friends’ weddings, accumulating stacks of their bridal portraits. Tradition warns that acting as a bridesmaid three times forecloses one’s own marriage—a superstition she wore lightly, even as she once held Hong Kong in romanticized reverence. Witnessing peers wed in lavish, picture-perfect ceremonies, she clung to the belief that migrating to the city would deliver the fulfillment she sought.
