男性在家庭中缺席，女性只能依賴姊妹情誼支撐，但情又會成為結，互相壓抑，又妨礙與男性互相了解。親緣由外部所建構，一生從沒見面的姊妹，何以是姊妹？每天相見卻互相僧恨的姊妹，又何以是姊妹？
女性情誼真的是華人家庭的歸處嗎？
In the absence of men within the family, women are left to rely on sisterhood for support. Yet these bonds can also entangle, breeding mutual repression and hindering understanding between genders. Familial ties are often externally constructed—how can sisters who have never met in their lifetimes truly be sisters? How can sisters who see each other daily yet arguing each time still be called sisters?
Is female camaraderie true way out of Chinese families?
